    Whoever you are,

and wherever you are on life's journey,

    You are welcome here.

We recognize that many people who visit a church for the first time do so with a bit of fear of the unknown, but we hope that you feel warmly welcomed and comfortable at First Congregational Church  United Church of Christ in Hastings.

First Congregational UCC is a spiritual home to people from all walks of life, believers and questioners, LGBTQ,  people from a range of backgrounds and faith perspectives, who come together to seek God and advance on their spiritual  journey together.

Whoever you are, and wherever you are on your faith journey, you are welcome here ~ and we hope to see you soon!

NICE TO MEET YOU!

First Congregational UCC is part of the United Church of Christ (UCC). Founded in 1879, our congregation has been involved in the life of Hastings residents for over 140 years.

We believe the Church is not merely a brick & mortar place we go on Sunday morning, but rather it is the living, breathing manifestation of Christ's Body — so that we all are the hands and feet of God.  Whether it's providing meals for voters, backpacks for kids, or open arms for the struggling, we try to make our faith a verb that shows God's love.

Our congregation includes people of all faith backgrounds - and no background at all!  Whoever you are, and wherever you are on life's faith journey, you are welcome at FCUCC.

Welcome Statement

[text here]

‘You shall love the Lord your God

with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

This is the greatest and first commandment.

And a second is like it:

‘You shall love your neighbor

as yourself.’

- Matthew 22: 37-39
